The platform guides licensed mental health professionals through every step of joining the program — from reviewing the fee schedule and state-specific qualifications, to exploring current openings and submitting an application.

The program is built for credentialed clinicians — Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT), psychologists, and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP) — who want to deliver evidence-based care to students directly on school campuses. Transitional Coaches work as flexible 1099 providers, with no referrals and no waitlist, bringing medically necessary behavioral health services to students who might otherwise go without.

Built and maintained by SBHSN, tcoach.org exists to grow the network of qualified providers serving school communities — reducing disciplinary incidents, improving attendance, and giving students consistent access to the mental healthcare they need. Providers can estimate their earning potential, confirm they meet their state's credential requirements, and apply to coach in their own community.
